Shelly relocated to Aurora, Colorado in 2012 from Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Shelly has dedicated the last 7 years of her life to the work and training of full-time ministry as a volunteer. Shelly currently serves as a program assistant in a residential training program that provides shelter and comprehensive services to disadvantaged families and children. Shelly performs various functions from: managing the office record keeping and operations, implementation and monitoring of program procedures and policies, performing new enrollee intakes and assessments, to one-on-one peer counseling.
Shelly also serves as a leader in her community at-large, by mentoring and coaching women in life skills development and sobriety. She volunteers in her church’s Ushers and Greeters ministry.
Shelly graduated from Community College of Aurora with a degree in business and enjoys participating in community outreach events that exposes her to other business networks. In addition, Shelly is always looking for opportunities to develop alliances with other community and faith-based organizations for the betterment of the community
